DevLog #1 No Smoke. No Mirrors.
"Online games lost their soul the day they gave up on real sync."
RiftForged isn't built on scripts or illusion. It's not a shell wrapped in hit-scan trickery or rubberbanded AI. When you dodge, you dodge something real. When you block, you're interacting with a fully authoritative, physics-based system, not a prefab.
I’ve spent months refining RiftNet: a custom networking backbone and merged that with Bullet Physics, DragonflyDB for AI memory & zone transfer caching, and SqlServer for long-term world persistence. This isn’t just about accurate hitboxes; it’s about consequence in real-time and in memory.
The world doesn’t cheat. The AI doesn’t teleport. And when it remembers losing to your trickery, it adapts. That’s not marketing fluff. This is what what happens when a world is synchronized deeply enough to allow memory and emergence. This is a world where physics is real, and so are your consequences.
This is what RiftForged stands for: no smoke, no mirrors, and no illusions. Just real sync and the soul of gaming restored.
